Terms of Use

These terms apply to use of West Sacramento Residents Directory. By visiting or using the pages, a visitor accepts these conditions. Anyone who does not accept them should leave the service and use the official custodian for a record request.

1. Nature of the Reference

West Sacramento Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, portals, and historical collections concerning West Sacramento, Yolo County, and California. It does not host government records and is not connected to any office, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the material only for lawful, respectful purposes. A visitor may not use the pages or linked results to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm someone; locate a person protected by a court order; commit identity theft or fraud; make a regulated eligibility decision; scrape the pages at scale; or interfere with site security and operation.

3. No Consumer Reports

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following sections. Nothing on the pages or in a linked search result is a consumer report. The information may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. External Portals and Services

Yolo County, West Sacramento, California, federal, library, Archives, and sponsored-search links have their own terms, privacy policies, prices, and availability. West Sacramento Residents Directory does not control those destinations or promise that a linked result will remain accessible.

5. Accuracy and Availability

The reference is supplied as-is and as available. No warranty promises that a page, office detail, fee, portal, record, link, or coverage date is accurate, complete, current, or error free. The custodian office is the only source that can verify or certify its record.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or a linked resource, including an action taken from a record found through them.

7. Indemnity

A visitor agrees to protect and hold harmless the site's operators from a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, that results from misuse of the service or violation of these terms.

8. Copyright and Reuse

The original wording, design, logo, and layout are protected. Linking to a page and quoting a short attributed excerpt is welcome. Republishing a full page or systematically copying the site's content is not permitted.

9. Changes

The operators may revise these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after the posting date is acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited, without advance notice, when a visitor violates these terms, abuses a page, threatens a person, or interferes with the service.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms, without applying conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act is codified at Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000. California consumer privacy rules include Civil Code section 1798.100 and following sections. Those statutes govern public agencies or covered businesses as applicable; they do not turn this private reference into a custodian or require a public office to create a new resident list.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms can be sent through the Contact page. Requests for a record, copy, correction, or access decision must go to the office that keeps the record.
